Royal Mail wants to move its SE27 sorting office in Windsor Grove – so we have to travel nearly as far as Penge to the Royal Mail Anerley office at Blenheim Road SE20 8AA to collect undelivered mail & parcels.
Helen Hayes MP is hosting a public meeting this Monday , 10th April, at The Portico Gallery 23a Knights Hill SE27 0HS at 7pm to discuss the plans. Norwood Forum will be chairing the meeting.

Norwood Forum, the voice of West Norwood, is looking for local people to join the committee at its AGM on Wednesday 8th July. The meeting is at 7pm in The Portico Gallery, 23 Knights Hill SE27 0HS . There will also be an update about progress of the Library –Cinema. All welcome.
Norwood Forum has four grants of £400 to give out on Saturday 7th March 2-5pm at the Old Library, Knights Hill SE27 0HY.

Norwood Forum is holding its next public meeting this Thursday evening in the Salvation Army Hall 246 Norwood Road SE27 9AW. All welcome. A chance to help influence the future of West Norwood – as items for discussion include: a new licensing policy for West Norwood to encourage more resturants and bars and the future managment of our local parks.
Residents oppose developers plans to build 47 homes in a block 4-6 storeys high on the empty site by Tulse Hill station in Avenue Park Road.
There is a public meeting on Monday 9th September at Chatsworth Baptist Church, Chatworth Way SE27 9HN at 7pm to discuss this development and other potential developments in West Norwood – organised by Norwood Forum and Norwood Action Group (NAG).
Cllr Peter Robbins, reponsible for housing and regeneration at Lambeth council, will also be speaking at the meeting and hearing the views of residents as part of the consultation on Lambeth’s latest Local Plan for the West Norwood area.
Unfortunately the Coalition government has recently reduced the powers of councils to influence new developments. By deregulating town planning rules the government is helping developers build without taking the views of local people into account.
Norwood Forum have a small amount of funding to sponsor local community events between now and September 2013 . They would like to hear from any local community groups planning events in West Norwood, especially during the 6 week school summer break.
