Work has started on designing St Luke’s car park improvements . The works have to be done very carefully – removing the existing tarmac and making sure no graves are disturbed. Then a proper road base will be laid down as a foundation for the surface tarmac. Dropped kerbs on the churchyard driveways, off Knights Hill, are due to be installed at the same time.
This is one of the last remaining improvements under funded by The Outer London Fund. Apparently Network Rail have relented and are considering installing one coloured panel under the bridge near Tulse Hill station. See our post on May 9th 2014 for details.
