Big changes for Tulse Hill?

Cllr Pickard at entrance to Knollys Goods Yard

Developers have plans to build a new village on Network Rail’s site at Knollys Goods yard off Knollys Road close to Cameron Place SW16 2HQ. They are giving local people a chance to see  their proposals between 11am and 3pm  on Saturday 2nd December at the Salvation Army248 Norwood Road SE27 0AW . Their ambitious plans include 500 homes at market rents, workspaces  and a new footbridge to Leigham Vale.

A decision on planning application 16/04089 to widen the road access to Knollys Goods Yard will be delayed until any decision on a planning application for Knollys Goods Yard

I think this is a great idea. A footbridge would really help access and it would be lovely to have a hub for local artists/craftpeople. I’ll reserve judgement on the ‘affordable housing’ as, if it’s in the form of shared ownership, I always think it seems to benefit the developers more than the owners. But it would still be great to have more housing.
