Plans for West Norwood town centre

Developers are  exhibiting to the public their plans for the old laundry site off Lansdowne Hill on Monday 2nd September between 4pm and 8pm at the Church Hall in St Lukes Church SE27 0DT.

The planning committee turned down the developer’s first plans (18/00580) in April 2019 . The developer, Leyton Clubs,  has now come up with a new planning application. They plan a 6-7 storey building with 51 flats and a separate 4 storey office block  between Waylett Place, Wakeling House & Easton House on York Hill estate & Lansdowne Hill. See map below:

Old Laundry site proposals

Entrance to old laundry from Lansdowne Hill

A property developer called Leyton Clubs Ltd has come up with plans for 52 new flats and new offices/shops on the old laundry site off Lansdowne Hill.

 

On Tuesday 31st October there is an opportunity to see an exhibition of the plans & meet the project team – just drop in between 3.30pm and 7.30opm to the Salvation Army, 246 Norwood Road SE27 9AW. The developers have not yet submitted a planning application . This will give everyone a chance to comment formally on the plans.
