Our ‘new normal’ streets

Social distancing will remain for some time. Lambeth council is adapting some hot spots where social distancing is difficult in order to make walking safer. One example is the pavement under Herne Hill bridge which has already been widened –see photo.

Please help by telling the council about places where busy pavements are too narrow to keep 2m apart. The council will prioritize suggestions which will have the greatest impact. You can let us know your suggestions by getting in touch with your local councillors or use this online map:

The map shows that people in West Norwood have already noted about 20 hot spots on the Tulse Hill gyratory, Norwood Road, Knights Hill and York Hill. Have a look to see if you agree!
