This year the free flower show is back – in person – at St Lukes church SE27 0HY. Lots of lovely flowers but also home baked cakes, art & handicrafts . If you are up for a challenge why not enter one of the many categories. The deadline to apply is Wednesday 1st Sept – 15p per entry.
To celebrate Spring come along on Saturday 6th April between 2pm and 5pm to the Flower Show in St Lukes Church SE27 0HS. Refreshments and free entry.
This traditional show is run by Lambeth Horticultural Society who run the very popular flower show at The Country Show every July. If you have some lovely daffodils or tulips why not enter the competition – its 15p per competition category with over 60 categories to choose from! If gardening is not your skill how about baking, jam making or crafts?
Now is the time to start thinking about your day out to this year’s Country Show 12noon to 8pm over the weekend 21st & 22nd July at Brockwell Park SE24 . Bring friends & family too.
The Main stage & Village Green host a wide range of musicians– something for everyone. And there are numerous other activities , entertainments, animals, food & drink and of course show piece entertainments at the Arena.

The Country Show changes a bit ever year. This year safety measures include searches at the 2 entry points (Herne Hill & Lido) so the show area has to be fenced within the park. Come early to avoid queues. Last entry 6.30pm. Entry remains free and unticketed.
To get to the Country Show please walk, cycle or travel by public transport ( 68 or 196 bus from West Norwood) . The only parking is for Blue Badge holders who apply in advance.
How about having a go at your own “vegetable character” in the Flower tent. Apply by Thursday 14th July. And there is a £100 prize for best “Rio Gold All Stars” scarecrow and £100 first prize in the Recycled Garden planting competition.
New this year is the cycle Floral Ride on Sunday from Streatham or Waterloo.

Saturday September 1st is an opportunity to show gardeners can be just as competitive as athletes this London Olympic summer! The Lambeth Horticultural Society annual Summer Flower Show has nearly 100 classes of show flowers, fruit and vegetables. There are also competitions for best crafts, floral art & photography and cookery. The ODDEST VEGETABLE competition is judged by the public!
The Show is held in West Norwood at St Luke’s Church, Knights Hill SE27 0HS – open to the public from 2pm

Join the Lambeth Horticultural Society (LHS) to spend less on gardening supplies and get lots of friendly advice. The LHS is open every Saturday afternoon 2pm-4.30pm and Sunday morning 10am-12.30pm at their premises on Cedar Tree Grove (off Lakeview Rd) with easy parking. Map
Membership is only £5 a year and you will probably save this on your first shop!
