Magnolias in bloom

IMG_9175One of the first signs of spring in West Norwood is the magnolias coming into bloom. Have you seen this magnificent example – just inside West Norwood Cemetery ?

Spring Watch on BBC 2 , in partnership with the Woodland Trust, is monitoring the start of spring across the country by asking people to record the first local sightings of:

  • First 7-spotted lady bird
  • Oak leaves
  • Hawthorn blossom
  • Arrival of swallows
  • Orange-tip Butterfly
