West Norwood is an increasingly popular place for families with young children and over the last year or so the Labour council has invested in new playgrounds on local estates and in parks.
Now another £244,000 of lottery money is going to Lambeth Play, a local voluntary organisation, to invest in play activities in the southern part of the borough over the next four years. Lambeth Play will help groups set up to run holiday play schemes and play sessions at community events such as street parties and involve children and young people in the process.
