Buses update

Over the summer the council has published a report on what residents and businesses said in Jan/Feb 2026  about congested traffic on Norwood Road.  164 people replied online and more took part in walkabouts and face to face meetings giving the council many suggestions .

Lambeth council is now working up designs to submit to the external funders before the end of the 2026 calendar year. More public consultation is promised once the designs are finished.

The project is funded by Transport for London (TfL)  with the main objective of speeding up bus journeys through West Norwood’s shopping streets and making them safer for pedestrians.
