Stay At Home, Stay Safe

The first confirmed coronavirus case in the UK was 29th February. A month later we have at least 20,000 people testing positive in the UK . To stop the spread of coronavirus we must all stay at home. And if we have to go out – keep 2 metres apart from other people. And of course wash our hands!

All the detailed government guidance can be found online at: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus  Check this site regularly as there are frequent changes to the details of the guidance. Look at this site for advice if you have the coronavirus symptoms or feel unwell.

Lambeth council website has local information on coronavirus – see: https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/elections-and-council/about-lambeth/coronavirus-covid-19-information There are pages on:  how council services have changed due to coronavirus; support if you have lost your job; help for vulnerable people; how to volunteer to help others; and the support available for businesses.

The council’s vulnerable people help line is 020 7926 2999.

In West Norwood we have lots of Covid19 mutual aid neighbourhood groups.  See: https://www.facebook.com/groups/214918153220011/

Please take care when sharing confidential information online about vulnerable people. Sadly we need to be alert to scammers even at this time. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2020/mar/29/coronavirus-social-disease-fraudsters-adapt-old-scams
