Homes on Portobello estate, at the top of Knights Hill, are getting new windows as part of the council’s Lambeth Housing Standard improvements.
The original metal crittal windows were the latest thing in the late 1940s but are very out of date now and very draughty in winter.

That is great news for the council residents there.
It is a shame that the council still has no powers in place to force the local rogue landlords: Galloways and Stapleton Long to carry out much needed repairs on the properties they own privately.
