Lancaster Avenue closed 13th to 21st February

To allow for installation of new gas mains pipes Lancaster Avenue SE27 9DQ will be closed from Saturday 13^th February until 21^st February at its junction with Norwood Road.

HGVs on the south circular road, that are too tall to go under the rail bridge on Thurlow Park Road, will have to take a long diversion along Norwood Road,  to Herne Hill, Denmark Hill, Champion Hill, Grove Lane, Lordship Lane to rejoin the south circular.

SGN gas mains replacement works at Norwood Road, York Hill and Harpenden Road are expected to complete in April 2021 . For more details see SGN’s letter to residents  [pdf]
